Your help through a legacy or donation, as a Friend of the Trust or through sponsorship is invaluable.
The National Trust, founded in 1895, is Britain's largest independent conservation
organisation and is a registered charity, not a Government body. It relies, therefore,
almost entirely on voluntary contributions to continue its invaluable work for
you, and for future generations.
Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal is safe in the ownership of the National Trust. It will never be sold or neglected, but it needs support from people like you. Financial help can be given in different ways.
Should you opt for a legacy by including Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal in
your will, you will be helping to secure its future while preserving, in a tangible
way, your treasured memories of past glorious visits. An alternative way to help
is through the Gift Aid scheme, enabling the estate to recover tax and make your
donation go further.
