The Visitor Centre is our main admission point and information area.
Visitors can become National Trust members by asking any of the admission team
about the benefits of joining.
There are over 500 free parking spaces, including some disabled bays.
The large restaurant seats up to 200 people and has a family area and a family
food station where parents can heat their children’s food or bottles in a microwave. The
restaurant offers hot food, homemade soups, snacks and a mouth watering variety
of homemade cakes and scones.
The refreshment kiosk is open during the summer months selling snacks and drinks
and the popular, locally made
Brymor ice cream.
Our large National Trust shop is situated at the Visitor Centre, stocking the
full range of National Trust gifts as well as some locally produced wares.
Toilets, disabled toilets and two baby change facilities can be found at the
Visitor Centre.
The foyer has information about the nearest National Trust properties to Fountains,
with a
map to help you navigate. The foyer also has the tactile frieze of the estate for visually impaired visitors
to enjoy.
Less-abled visitors can ask for the assistance vehicle at the admission desk.
The vehicle is available to take them to one of the other two admission points;
West Gate or
Lakeside.
Just through the admission point into the pay for entry area of the estate is
our new
children’s play area.
